SD-PROBLEM LIST

  1. Underbite caused by a forward positioned large lower jaw.

  2. Underbite caused by a backward positioned small upper jaw.

  3. Lower jaw asymmetry with the lower dental and facial midline shifted to the right.

  4. Paranasal deficiency associated with a backward positioned small upper jaw

  5. Unsupported upper lip caused by a backward positioned small upper jaw.

  6. Dental compensation.

Pre-Op

Post-Op

PRE AND POST-SURGICAL ORTHODONTICS BY DR. BILL ACKERMAN

SURGICAL TREATMENT PLAN

  1. Upper jaw advancement to treat the backward positioned small upper jaw in order to correct the associated paranasal deficiency as well as give support to the upper lip support.

  2. Lower jaw setback to correct the underbite associated with the forward positioned large lower jaw.

  3. Lower jaw rotation to correct lower jaw asymmetry and restore normalcy to the lower jaw's dental and facial midline.

AF-PROBLEM LIST

  1. Underbite caused by a backward positioned small upper jaw.

  2. Crossbite caused by the inadequate width of the upper jaw.

  3. Paranasal deficiency caused by a backward positioned small upper jaw.

Pre-Op

Post-Op

PRE AND POST-ORTHODONTICS BY DR. RICHARD NAMEY.

SURGICAL TREATMENT PLAN

  1. Advancement of the upper jaw to eliminate underbite and paranasal deficiency associated with a backward positioned small upper jaw.

  2. Surgically widen the upper jaw to eliminate the crossbite associated with the inadequate width of the upper jaw.

BF-PROBLEM LIST

  1. Open bite caused by the excessive downward vertical growth of the back portion of the upper jaw.

  2. A lower jaw which is backward positioned.

  3. Crossbite caused by the inadequate width of the upper jaw.

  4. Mild long face tendency caused by the downward vertical growth of the back portion of the upper jaw.

Pre-Op

Post-Op

PRE AND POST-SURGICAL ORTHODONTICS BY DR. CHARLES CAPPETTA.

SURGICAL TREATMENT PLAN

  1. Superiorly reposition the upper jaw to correct the open bite and long face tendency.

  2. Surgically widen the upper jaw to eliminate the crossbite.

  3. Autorotation of the lower jaw to correct a backward positioned lower jaw to bring the chin point forward.

IF-PROBLEM LIST

  1. Lower jaw asymmetry with deviation of the lower jaw's dental and facial midlines to the left.

  2. Crossbite caused by the inadequate width of the upper jaw.

  3. Underbite caused by a forward positioned lower jaw.

Pre-Op

Post-Op

PRE-AND POST SURGICAL ORTHODONTICS BY DR. JOHN BURKE.

SURGICAL TREATMENT PLAN

Phase 1 involves the correction of the inadequate width of the upper jaw by the surgical-orthodontic expansion of the upper jaw to eliminate the crossbite

Phase 2 involves the correction of both the underbite and the lower jaw asymmetry by performing a lower jaw setback and rotation.

DG-PROBLEM LIST

  1. Overbite caused by backward positioned small lower jaw.

  2. Lower jaw asymmetry with deviation of the lower jaw's dental and facial midline to the left.

Pre-Op

Post-Op

PRE AND POST-SURGICAL ORTHODONTICS BY DR. STEVEN REICHELD.

SURGICAL TREATMENT PLAN

  1. Lower jaw advancement employing rigid fixation to eliminate the overbite.

  2. Lower jaw rotation to the right to restore the dental and facial midline.

SG-PROBLEM LIST

  1. Premature loss of right posterior lower molars allowing the upper back teeth to overerupt until they hit the lower jaw's ridge.

  2. Inability to fabricate mandibular prosthetic teeth because of over-eruption of the upper jaw's teeth.

  3. A small chin which results in lip incompetence and lip strain.

Pre-Op

Post-Op

SURGICAL TREATMENT PLAN

  1. Superiorly reposition the back portion of the upper jaw on the right side to create space to allow construction of replacement teeth in the lower jaw.

  2. Genioplasty advancement to create esthetic chin shape by restoring a normal mental-labial fold as well as reducing lip strain and lip incompetence.
